We tin copper cookware (pots, pans, bowls and kettles) to prevent them from developing oxidation and verdigris that can spoil your food, and, if ingested in certain quantities, harm your health.

Re-Tinning Service

We charge $7.50 CAD/sq. inch to Tin or Re-Tin your copper cookware.

Measuring Your Cookware

Step 1: Place the vessel on a flat surface (table, countertop etc.);
Step 2: Using a ruler or tape measure, measure the Height and Diameter (Round up to the nearest inch);

*If your pot/pan has a Lid, please add another Diameter to the equation.
**For Oval cookware, please measure the longer diameter.

The result should look something like this: Height = X", Diameter = Y" + Y" (Lid)

Don't worry if you make a mistake. We will re-measure and provide you with the updated estimate prior to proceeding with the service.

Our Re-Tinning service includes Basic Cleaning. If you would like to give your cookware a brilliant lustre, please request Clean & Polish service as well. You will receive your cookware in like-new condition, shining all-around.

Please Note: If your cookware is lined with silver, we charge additional $20.00 per piece fee to remove the old lining, as silver requires extra time and labour to remove.

Service Procedure

From your first contact to completion

Step 1: Before you contact us

Please measure your cookware's Height & Diameter (Round up to the nearest Inch);

Take pictures of the interior and exterior.

Step 2: Send Your Enquiry

Call us or send us an email Including the information from Step 1, and a member of our team will provide you with a quote and address any cookware related questions and/or concerns you may have.

Step 3: Pick Up/Delivery

When you are ready, you can mail your cookware in, Drop it off or have our team pick it up from your home in Toronto (Downtown, Midtown, Uptown), North York or Scarborough for a flat fee of $15.00 CAD.

Step 4: Acknowledgement

When your cookware arrives it will be carefully measured and inspected to make sure it is ready to be serviced. You will receive an email confirming receipt and whether there are any discrepancies in measurements.

We will take pictures of the interior and exterior and provide them to you upon completion of the service for a Before & After comparison.

Step 5: Service

Now that your cookware is in good hands, it is a matter of time to complete the service.

Once we are finished we will notify you and provide you with a link to our Instagram page where you can view your beautiful cookware and provide your comments before we package it and prepare for its journey back to your kitchen.

Final Step: Payment

Once you approve the completed service, you can make a paymemt using either of the following methods:

Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard)
Cash

You will receive an email containing all necessary information to make a payment.

Tinning: (Height + Height + Diameter) x $7.50
Clean & Polish: (Height + Height + Diameter) x $5.50
