Smith's advise
Tinning your copper part/component can help prolong its useful life
The electrical conductivity of copper can deteriorate due to oxidation during prolonged exposure to moisture, condensation and certain temperatures by forming oxides on its surface.
Enhancing oxidation resistance by way of alloying can lead to a drastic decline in electrical conductivity. Tinning, however, does not negatively affect the conductivity and provides a reliable corrosion resistance.
Parts and electrical components used in Industries such as Automotive, Aviation, Air Filtration/purification and others can achieve better longevity by simply having them tinned before installation.
Copper Tinner's experienced team is able to assess the condition of your part/component and recommend the best solution in your circumstances.
